The Topeka Performing Arts Center announced Wednesday that the Glen Campbell Concert has been rescheduled.
The concert originally scheduled for July 11th, has been rescheduled for October 7, 2010.
Barbara Wiggins, Executive Director of TPAC said that the promoter of the concert informed her that the Glen Campbell tour had a scheduling conflict and was postpoining the Topeka appearance until October.
Tickets that have been purchased will be honored for the rescheduled date.
Patrons may obtain refunds at their point of purchase if they do not wish to attend the rescheduled date. If tickets were purchased through the TPAC Box Office, patrons may come to the Box Office for a refund Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning June 28th. Refunds will be given via the method of purchase or by check. If the tickets were purchased on a credit card, it and the receipt must be present to receive the refund.
Tickets remain on sale for the legendary musician, singer and humorist now scheduled for October 7th.
Most well known for recording Rhinestone Cowboy, Glen Campbell is a bonafide “living legend,” whose career spans 50 years and fans that cross generational and international lines. A revered triple-decker talent, he is a musician, singer and humorist.
Glen has:
• Released over 70 albums and sold more than 45 million records with 75 trips up the charts landing 27 in the Top 10.
• Made music history by winning a Grammy in both country and pop categories in the same year; “Gentle On My Mind” snatched country honors and “By The Time I Get To Phoenix” won pop.
• Racked up 12 RIAA Gold albums, 4 Platinum albums and 1 Double-Platinum album.
• Been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005 by the Country Music Association of America. In 1999 he won the coveted AMC Pioneer Award for “outstanding and unprecedented achievements in the field of country music.”
• Garnered trophies for Male Vocalist of the Year from both the CMA and the ACM, and took CMA’s top honor as Entertainer of the Year.
