My name is Lynda Zook. I joined the station in early 2013 and have the priviledge of working with the greatest production, promotion and sales team in NE Kansas. We serve up the best in Classic Country music and appreciate our loyal listeners.
I was born in New York during my father's service in the US Air Force. However, my family has roots in Eastern Kansas. Both my parents were born and raised in Topeka. I went to school locally and graduated from Washburn University. I am a proud Veteran of the Armed Forces and before coming to Country Legends, I worked several years in Manufacturing with Frito Lay Topeka.
How fortunate I've been to become a part of KTPK-FM. Working at Country Legends allows me to do what I love and participate in activity that benefits my community. Our interactive on air talent, our partnership with the Red Cross, Childrens Miracle Network, Country Legends Cares and local sponsored events, demonstrate KTPK's strong relationship and committment to the people of NE Kansas. It's hard to find any radio station today with that kind of connection to it's audience.
For all the advantages technology has brought to media, it comes at the cost of personal interation with listeners. Yet, technology can also open channels for reaching far beyond the limits of traditional broadcasting.
Digital tools enable us to share a NE Kansas tradition of great classic country and community partnership with others throughout the nation and across the globe.
Countrylegends1069.com offers information, contests, advertising opportunity and social media connection. And with our digital stream and mobile app, listeners can take us with them anytime and anywhere; at home, work, or on the road. Its yet another way KTPK can better serve you and the community.
What a great motivation for coming to work each day!
Thanks NE Kansas for sharing with us your time, your loyalty and your love of great country music !
