What is Country Legends 106.9 secret to success?
It’s passion… for great music, loyal listeners and our community.
Jim Allan, general manager of Country Legends 106.9 announced that KTPK-FM has experienced another outstanding Arbitron ratings report.
“These are the stories we love to write, “said Allan. “We led all radio stations in listeners 21 and older in both our Topeka Metro and in our Total Survey Area of northeast Kansas.”
The Fall 2013 Arbitron ratings report covers the months of late September through mid- December.
“Between our Topeka listeners and those hearing us in the Manhattan/Salina and Kansas City markets, we have more than 100,000 radio listeners per week.” said Allan. “Throw in another 40,000 on internet streaming around the world and we have some 140,000 sets of ears hearing our brand of legendary country artists. None of this would be possible without the best radio staff imaginable.”
“Listeners have shown they tune to Country Legends 106.9 because of the music. The music we play is the greatest music ever made,” said Roger Price, program director, Country Legends.“KTPK is a special breed. A one-of-a-kind monster that cranks out the legends of country around the clock.”
Country Legends primary audience is Baby Boomers (adults 45 plus) and their older siblings. KTPK continues to dominate in average and total number of listeners.
“This demographic group is growing and holds some 70-75 percent of the nation’s buying power. That is why this win is so important to us. Our listenership also benefits our valuable clients and business in the community,” said Allan.
Congratulations to Jim and his staff at Country Legends 106.9!
To all our friends across NE Kansas and beyond, we wish the very best and thanks so much for listening!
