A native of Olathe, Kansas, Chelle began working at Country Legends in 1996 while studying at Washburn University. She received her B.A. in Theatre and B.A. in Mass Media from Washburn after also studying at Emporia State and Cambridge University in England. She has enjoyed being a part of the Country Legends family and is grateful for the opportunity to meet so many kind listeners over the years.

In her spare time, she enjoys performing in plays and musicals along with her husband and eight-year-old son. They enjoy working out and weekend car trips exploring the state ofKansas. Most weekends, her family can be found playing card and board games into the wee hours of the night.

Healthy and organic eating for children is a passion for Chelle and she is a contributing writer for XYZ Magazine where she shares tips and ideas for kids. One of her heroes is Jamie Oliver and she encourages people to read his ideas on healthy eating for school lunches.

Their two dogs Rowlf (a German Shepherd mix) and Molly (a Burmese Mountain dog) who were both adopted from the Helping Hands Humane Society are an important part of their family.

Chelle enjoys volunteering hundreds of hours each year to local non-profits and encourages all Country Legends listeners to find some time to volunteer in the community. She believes it is truly the best way to enjoy life to it's fullest.
